You can take a look at some of the things that I have done so far for my Wicked Problem Project. If you click on the link below it will download the podcast that I have created. It should open a new window that is your preferred audio player. You will probably want to minimize the audio player so that you will be able to view the screenshots that are being referenced.

Look forward to seeing how this works!
Steve,
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of allowing students to interact with the material, instead of just being talked at. You mentioned the google survey that you are incorporating into your site. Great that it will compile the responses for you! But I’m confused as to what you are planning to ask with the survey… Are you checking understanding? Or how they like the site?
Laura
Steve,
ReplyDeleteI hope you didn't post this awhile ago and I just missed it - I would have given you feedback much earlier. It looks like your site has gotten under way and seems pretty neat. Can you provide the link so that we can access it and look around? Have you given this to students yet? What has been the feedback? Also, the third screen shot appears to be the student response form. Are those sent back to you? It would be interesting to hear how you are involved with what the students say and how they are evaluated, etc.
Best,
Lisa
I looks like your site is coming along nicely and will be ready to implement in the fall. Good luck as you and your colleague continue collaborating on this wonderful project. Just wondering, since you are familiar with code, why not use Kompozer (free) or DreamWeaver to build your site? Perhaps your district has a old copy of Frontpage you can use - worth checking into. Looking forward to you next post ~ Sue
ReplyDelete@Laura The survey is used like a quiz to check and see if they get it.
ReplyDelete@Lisa No you didn't miss anything. The response is sent to a Google Docs spreadsheet. If there are correct or incorrect answers I think I can format the cells to respond by changing color. There is no grade for what I am teaching, it is meant to make sure students are successful in their current courses.
